These goals – adopted by the Swedish Parliament, the Riksdag – are intended to ensure that, by 2020, the country’s major environ-mental problems have been solved. Sweden’s 16 environmental quality objectives describe a state of the environment that is sustainable in contribute to accelerating the sustainability shift.
